Man arrested following assaults and criminal damage in Bournemouth
The incidents took place in in Charminster Road, Nortoft Road, Lowther Road, Iddesleigh Road and St Leonards Road.
A man was arrested following reports of assaults and criminal damage in five roads in Bournemouth on Tuesday 1 July.
Police received a report at 12.30am that a man caused damage to vehicles and property and assaulted a number of people in Charminster Road, Nortoft Road, Lowther Road, Iddesleigh Road and St Leonards Road.
There were no reports of anyone seriously injured.
Officers attended and a 21-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage.
During the arrest, it is alleged that he assaulted two police officers. Their injuries are not described as serious.
The man was further arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Police Sergeant Conor Nixon, of Dorset Police, said: “This incident impacted a number of victims and their property and we would like to reassure that an arrest was swiftly made.
“I am aware that there may be people who have information in relation to this incident and have not already spoken to police and I would encourage them to please get in touch.
“If you have captured any CCTV or doorbell camera footage in any of the roads mentioned in the early hours of Tuesday 1 July 2025 that may be of assistance, please contact us.”
