Man arrested following Poole assault
Police are seeking witnesses to this assault, particularly a woman in a beige-coloured car who was driving nearby.
A woman in her 40s who was walking along Seaview Road near to the junction of Grove Road was grabbed by the throat by a man between 8.15am and 8.30am on Thursday 10 June.
A beige-coloured car was driving nearby and beeped its horn. A woman in the car asked the victim if she was OK, before driving away from the scene.
The victim did not sustain any injuries that required medical treatment.
Following enquiries, a 40-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of assault by beating. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
The arrested man and the victim are known to each other.
Police Constable Ryan Malcolm, of Poole police, said: “Our enquiries are continuing into this incident and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed what happened to please come forward.
“I am particularly keen to speak to the woman in the beige-coloured car as she may have important information to assist my investigation.”
