Man arrested for Ringwood robberies
The incidents took place in October and as recently as Sunday 6 November, and a 22-year-old man has been arrested.
Following a series of robberies and an assault in the Ringwood area, a man has been arrested.
On Monday 17 October at around 3.45pm, a man entered a Co-Operative store on Southampton Road, threatened staff with a glass bottle and left with approximately £225.
At approximately 7.45pm on Sunday 6 November, a man entered a convenience store on Butlers Lane and demanded money from the tills – with around £30 handed over.
Whilst at just gone 8pm on Sunday 6 November, a man entered a shop on Hightown Road and reportedly jumped across the cashier desk, demanding money. The request was refused by staff, resulting in a staff member being assaulted in the process. Nothing was stolen.
Officers investigating the robberies and the assault have now arrested a 22-year-old man from Ringwood on suspicion of two counts of robbery and one count of assault with intent to commit robbery.
