It was reported that during the incident, which occurred at around 4.25pm, a man in his 20s was approached by another man and punched a number of times, causing him to fall to the ground.

The victim lost one tooth as a result, and another tooth was damaged.

Following enquiries, a 24-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and has been released on police bail as officers continue their investigation.
