Detectives in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a man was assaulted inside a nightclub in the town centre.
The incident happened at around 2.30am on Saturday 6 April at The Walkabout Inn on Old Christchurch Road.
The victim, a 21-year-old man from Bournemouth, was approached by an unknown man while on the dance floor and punched in the face.
Hospital treatment later revealed he had suffered a broken jaw which required surgery.
Detective Constable James Batty, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “This attack has left the victim with a serious facial injury, and I am appealing for witnesses to assist with this investigation.
“Witnesses and anyone with information about the offender are asked to contact police as soon as possible in the strictest confidence.”
No arrests have been made.
