Man assaulted in Morrisons’ car park in Verwood
If you witnessed this assault on Tuesday 23 February at around 4.25pm you are urged to get in touch with the police.
If you were shopping in Morrisons in Verwood on Tuesday 23 February you may have seen a man being assaulted in the car park.
At around 4.25pm a man in his 20s, went to get into his car when he was approached by another man and punched a number of times, causing him to fall to the ground.
The offender is believed to have got into the front passenger seat of a black BMW, which then drove off. He is described as white, around five feet ten inches tall and of slim build with short blond hair and blue eyes. He was wearing pale blue clothing.
The victim lost one tooth as a result of the assault and another tooth was damaged.
Police Constable Erin Hill, of East Dorset police, said, “We are continuing to make enquiries into this assault. I understand there were a number of people in the area at the time and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened to please contact us.
“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area at the time and has dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please check their footage for anything relevant.”
