Man assaulted in Wimborne
Anyone who was in Leigh Road late in the evening on Saturday 2 March and who witnessed this should contact the police.
A man in his 50s received serious facial injuries in an assault which is believed to have occurred some time between 10pm on Saturday 2 March and 12am on Sunday 3 March in Leigh Road.
The victim attended hospital for treatment.
The male suspect is described as six feet three inches tall and was wearing blue jeans, a black jumper, white trainers and a black snood.
Detective Constable Matt Barrett, of Dorset County CID, said: “We have been continuing to investigate this incident and carried out extensive enquiries so far, including CCTV checks and house-to-house visits.
“After further liaison with the victim, I am now appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and seen what happened to please come forward.
“Similarly, if you have captured anything of relevance on CCTV or dashcam footage, please get in touch.”
