Man assaulted outside Lidl store in Winton left seriously injured
A number of people were in the area at around 8.30pm on Monday 24 June and Dorset Police are keen to speak to any witnesses.
A man in his thirties sustained serious injuries in an incident which took place outside a store in Winton, Bournemouth.
Dorset Police received a report at 8.30pm on Monday 24 June that a man had been assaulted after being approached by a group of four men and a woman near to the junction of Withermoor Road and Wimborne Road, outside the Lidl store.
The victim also sustained head injuries.
Detective inspector Ross McNamee, of BCP CID, said: “This was a nasty assault and the victim remains in hospital in a serious condition.
“We are continuing to investigate a number of lines of enquiry to identify those responsible for this assault and I would urge anyone with information relating to this incident to please contact us.
“From our enquiries, we believe there were a number of people in the area around the time of this assault and I would be keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area and may have captured relevant dashcam footage.
“We have increased patrols in the area following this incident and officers can be approached by anyone with information or concerns.”
