Man charged and more arrests following alleged assault in Boscombe
One man has been charged and further arrests have been made following an investigation by detectives into an alleged assault in Boscombe.
A fight was reported in Christchurch Road in the Boscombe precinct on 29 January at around 8.55pm.
Two men – aged in their 20s and 30s from Bournemouth and Poole – were taken to hospital with stab wounds that are not life-threatening.
It was further reported that a third man, aged in his 40s, sustained injuries during the incident that are not life-threatening.
A 21-year-old man from Bournemouth has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place.
A 21-year-old man from Bournemouth, who was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent, and two men – aged 22 and 24 also from Bournemouth – who were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent have all been released from the investigation without charge.
As the investigation continues, detectives have arrested four further men from Bournemouth. Three of the men – aged 20, 22 and 25 – have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent. All four men remain in police custody.
