Man dies following serious road traffic collision in Ferndown
A man has sadly died from his injuries following a road traffic collision in Ferndown.
Dorset Police received a report at 5.33pm on Tuesday 5 October of a collision involving a white artic lorry and a pedestrian on Ringwood Road near to The White Heather pub.
The pedestrian – a man aged in his 90s – sustained serious injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital by the ambulance service for treatment. He very sadly died in the early hours of Thursday 7 October.
Police Sergeant Mark Scammell, of the traffic unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man at this difficult time.
“We are continuing to carry out an investigation into the circumstances of this collision and I would ask anyone who witnessed what happened or has relevant dashcam footage to please get in touch.”
