Man in critical condition following alleged road rage incident in Bournemouth
Dorset Police has launched an investigation after a man sustained life-threatening injuries during an alleged road rage incident in Bournemouth.
Officers were called on Sunday 11 October to reports of an alleged road rage incident at the junction of Rippon Road and Portland Road in Bournemouth. It is reported the incident occurred at 6.45pm.
During the incident a local man aged in his 30s was reportedly struck by a car. He sustained critical injuries and remains in a life-threatening condition in hospital.
A 39-year-old man from Poole has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
The road has been cordoned off while collision investigators examine the scene.
Detective Sergeant Aimee Lloyd, of Bournemouth CID, said, “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the relevant time and saw what happened to please contact me.
“I am particularly keen to hear from any motorists or residents who may have captured the incident, or part of it, on dashcam or home CCTV systems.”
