A man in his 50s on a mobility scooter received serious injuries when he was in a collision with a white Ford Transit van on Monday 10 February at the junction of Ensbury Park Road and Cherries Drive.
Following a report to Dorset Police at 12.40pm, emergency services attended and road closures were put in place as they responded to the incident.
The scooter driver sustained a leg injury that was believed to be serious but not life-threatening and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police Constable Josh Alner, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding this collision and I am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.
“I would also urge any motorists who were travelling in the area of Ensbury Park Road and Cherries Drive around the time of the collision to please review any available dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything of relevance.
“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience during the road closures, which were put in place to allow the emergency services to respond and enquiries at the scene to be conducted.”
