Man receives facial injury in Bournemouth assault
Dorset Police say a number of people were in the area of Gervis Road on Tuesday evening and they would like to speak to witnesses.
A man was assaulted by four people who were unknown to him in the area of Gervis Road at around 10.10pm on Tuesday 12 August.
Officers were on patrol nearby and swiftly attended, but the four men had dispersed.
The victim was taken to hospital with a facial injury that was not believed to be serious.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
Police Constable Michael Wells, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident to understand the full circumstances of what occurred.
“We know there were a number of people in the area that night who may have seen what happened, and so we would like to hear from any witnesses who have not yet spoken to us.
“We are particularly keen to hear from a teenage girl we understand had an interaction with the victim prior to the assault.”
