Man seriously injured in East Dorset collision
A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash near Horton on Monday 3 October and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Police investigating a serious injury road traffic collision near Horton in East Dorset are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
On Monday 3 October 2022 at 3.42pm, Dorset Police received a report of a collision involving a grey Vauxhall Vivaro van and a black BMW motorbike on the B3078 Cranborne Road near Horton.
The motorcyclist – a man in his 30s from Bournemouth – sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The driver of the van was uninjured.
Officers attended with the ambulance and fire services and the road was closed to allow them to safely deal with the incident. It reopened at around 7.30pm.
Police Constable Adam Carr, of the traffic unit, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area and witnessed the incident, or the moments leading up to it, to please come forward.
“I would also urge any motorists who have relevant dashcam footage that may help my enquiries to please come forward.
“Finally, I am keen to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place. These were absolutely necessary to allow us to treat the injured person.”
