Detectives in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after an attempted robbery in Boscombe.
The incident happened at around 11.20am on Monday 2 September 2013 at the junction of Adeline Road and Roumelia Lane.
The victim, a 35-year-old man, was approached by an unknown person while out walking who threatened him with a knife and demanded he hand over his mobile phone and cash.
The victim had nothing of value in his possession and upon realising this, the offender ran off toward Pokesdown.
Detective Constable Caroline Craft, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “The victim has been left extremely shaken by this ordeal, and it is fortunate he wasn’t injured.
“I am appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have seen this attempted robbery take place, or has information about the offender to call Dorset Police in confidence.”
The offender is described as a white man, around six feet tall and aged in his forties. He is of stocky build with broad shoulders.
He was wearing beige coloured trousers, a purple T-shirt and a light blue denim jacket.
