Watchkeepers at the National Coastwatch Institution lookout on St Albans Head recently welcomed round-Britain walker Christian Nock for some much-needed refreshment.
Christian, 38, was on day 188 of his two-year project to become the first person to walk the whole coast of Britain without using ferries. He sold everything he owns and is sleeping rough every night as well as walking up to 26 miles a day. He has so far covered 2000 miles, since starting in Blackpool and is on his eighth pair of boots!
A former soldier, Christian has raised £8k for the Help the Heroes Charity, and requests that any donations be made through his website, www.bmycharity.com/ChristianNock.
