The Bishop of Sherborne is welcomed to the Coffee Morning by ‘Matilda’, one of the papier maché figures that will be on show at the flower festival
Among the visitors attending the fundraising coffee morning at Church House, Wimborne on Easter Saturday was the Bishop of Sherborne, The Right Revd Dr Graham Kings who was paying a last visit to the parish before he leaves to take up a new appointment.
Anthony Oliver, minster churchwarden who helped to organise the event said the splendid amount of £393 raised by the coffee morning will help to defray the costs of flowers for the Wimborne Minster Flower Festival.
The festival with a floral carpet laid up the centre of the nave will take place over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend Friday 22 to Monday 25 May 2015
