Mayor supports DRCSC drop in at Heatherlands in Ferndown
The Heatherlands Centre in Ferndown opened its doors during National Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week for a drop-in held by Dorset Rape Crisis Support Centre.
The Dorset Rape Crisis Support Centre (DRCSC) recently held a drop-in at the Heatherlands Community Centre.
New service manager for the charity, Helen Stevens, ran the event as part of the National Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week. The drop-in was supported by the Mayor of Ferndown, Cllr Mike Parkes, Cllr Julie Robinson and Cllr Pat Cooper.
DRCSC works across Dorset to support anyone who has been affected by sexual abuse, violence or rape.
The charity has three core services delivering a confidential helpline, practical and emotional support from its team of ISVAs (Independent Sexual Violence Advisors), and therapeutic counselling.
