There is something for everyone at Poole libraries during the month of May. Authors will be on-hand to talk about their latest books and learn a new creative skill with Poole libraries Festival of Learning.
Kate Starmer, author of ‘The Nutters’, will be at Parkstone Library on 13 May at 6pm. From their home in the small village of Little Wobble, Albert and Primrose Nitter run their newly-formed private investigation business, with all the small-town intrigues you can imagine.
On Tuesday 19 May at Branksome Library, 6.30pm, Jenny Oliver is back by popular demand with stories about Poole High Street’s history – ‘The Story of Poole High Street.’
Poole Central Library is host to author Jennifer Klinec on Thursday 28 May, 7.30pm. Jennifer shares her intense adventure and romance into the back streets of traditional Iran. ‘The temporary bride – a memoir of love and food in Iran’ shows how love can reach across even the most insurmountable boundaries and how food is about so much more than what we put in our mouths.
If you are feeling creative, try your hand at learning something new with Poole libraries Festival of Learning. All taster sessions are free. Booking is essential.
