For any legal firm creating, managing, sharing and distributing documents effectively is a crucial part of their workflow and service delivery. MJP Law, the law firm, with offices in Ferndown, Kinson, Verwood and Wimborne, have welcomed new technology into their lives, they have removed their filing cabinets and now have a paper-less policy in place, in all of their offices.
Martin Pate says, “We have a new CRM system, we now scan and email all papers and documents rather than fax and file them, we very rarely print anything, and we have invested heavily into new technology which has included the arrival of 4 Kyocera super scanners from local suppliers Canotec, paper river software from Knowolgy and cloud servers from Comms UK.
Martin adds, “We no longer have stacks of papers and over filled filing cabinets and as a result of our changes we are now saving money, are more efficient, we have a central process, and at the same time we can help reduce costs, look after the environment, and perhaps even save a few trees.
“The team all agreed to the idea and we openly and actively discussed the best route forward. We have processes in place, have improved our use of technology and our customer files are now stored on a secure server and in cloud computing, there is no photocopying. Our customers prefer the new processes too, as we are more efficient, and it is easier and quicker to locate files, which are all housed on our server and in the cloud.”
