Model buildings weekend at Wimborne Model Town
People can enjoy the Model Buildings Weekend from 23-25 July when model making with 3D printers will be explained.
For one weekend only, 23-25 July, 1950s building toys including Lott’s Bricks, Bayko and Minibrix will be making a hands-on appearance at the start of Wimborne Model Town’s 70th anniversary celebrations. The construction model sets, popular in households across the country before the appearance of Lego, will be available for visitors to try as part of a special Model Buildings Weekend.
Jack Gritton from Cobnut 3D will also be on hand to demonstrate and explain the process of model making with 3D printers. Cobnut has been producing the miniature models for The Model of The Model Town, the 1/100th scale diorama which forms the educational charity’s 70th anniversary project which is now on view.
Booking is not required and there are no additional charges for the weekend feature.
