The official opening of the new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) by the town mayor, Cllr Simon Gibson will take place at Verwood Recreation Ground on Saturday, 4 May at 11am. Everyone is welcome. Verwood Concert Brass Training Band will be playing and Rossgarth junior footballers will be using the targets and goals to demonstrate this free-to-use public facility.
Funds have been raised in double-quick time thanks to the 50% match-funding by Verwood Town Council which encouraged other grant providers such as the Veolia Environmental Trust, Synergy Housing and Christchurch & East Dorset District Council to support the community fundraising carried out by Active Games For All (AGFA).
