A woman who died from stab wounds in Bournemouth over the weekend has today been named by her family.

At 4.12pm on Saturday 20 June, officers were called to an address in Colehill Crescent after 25-year-old Jennifer Williams, of Bournemouth, sustained serious stab wounds.
She was taken to Poole Hospital for treatment but sadly died at 3.28am on Sunday 21 June from her injuries.
Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team subsequently launched a murder investigation.
The 26-year-old Bournemouth man, initially arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder, was re-arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
Detective Inspector Mark Samuel, of Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “We obtained a magistrates’ court extension for the custody of the arrested 26-year-old man, which currently runs until just after 9pm today, Tuesday 23 June.”
Jennifer’s family are being kept updated by specially-trained officers.
Her family said: “We are all devastated and in shock. Jennifer can never be replaced.”
DI Mark Samuel continued: “It is believed that the alleged offender is known to the victim and we are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.
“I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information about this incident to call Dorset Police in confidence.”
A cordon remains in place at the scene and is expected to remain there for some time while crime scene investigators continue to carry out examinations. Additional police patrols are taking place in the area to reassure the public.
A post mortem examination was carried out on the evening of Sunday 21 June and found that Jennifer had died from multiple stab wounds. The coroner has been notified.
