New course set to ruffle feathers at Bournemouth & Poole College
Due to high demand from the local community, a college in Dorset has introduced a unique course looking into the area's most notorious creature.
Bournemouth & Poole College has introduced the part-time Level 3 Seagull Studies for adults, which is available for enrolment now.
Matt Butcher, commercial director at Bournemouth & Poole College, said: “Launching new course offerings is always exciting, but this one is set to soar. Many people are flocking to sign up already.
“We have been overwhelmed by the amount of budding local ornithologists particularly interested in learning more about our very own seagulls, so we are pleased to finally bring this course to fruition.”
Course modules for the Level 3 Seagull Studies course include:
- Telling the Difference – is it a seagull or a magpie?
- The Psychology of the Seagull (or how to protect your chips)
- Seagull Habits – from Winton to Weymouth, shed roofs to Sandbanks
The Seagull Studies course is part-time, allowing students to complete alongside employment, or while studying other subjects to broaden their knowledge about the infamous seabirds.
You’ll have to be quick to get on this course. Enrolment for Seagull Studies will close at 12pm on Friday 1 April.
