New indoor go-karting venue coming to Bournemouth
Europe’s largest indoor go-karting company is investing £1.8m to build a new track and entertainment centre in Bournemouth.
Fans of Formula 1 and Mario Kart can look forward to putting the pedal to the metal themselves as a new indoor karting centre is set to open in Bournemouth in the coming months.
Europe’s largest indoor go-karting company, TeamSport, signed a lease this week for a unit on Wallisdown Road, where it plans to build a new venue featuring a 300m track with capacity for 14 karts to race at the same time.
Bournemouth will be TeamSport’s 38th location in the UK. The company plans to invest £1.8m in the new venture, creating around 30 jobs.
As well as the racetrack, TeamSports Bournemouth will have a bar, kitchen and other activities to entertain families and visitors.
Dom Gaynor, CEO of TeamSport, said: “We are excited to announce that we will be opening a venue in Bournemouth. Our goal is to create a space that caters to adrenaline junkies as well as families. It will be a perfect place for stag and hen parties, and we will also be developing a race academy program for young racers.”
The race academy will give younger racers the opportunity to hone their skills and develop a passion for motorsports.
