New Mayor for Poole
The Mayoral elections, which took place at the Poole Charter Trustee annual meeting, were live streamed this year.
Cllr Julie Bagwell has been elected as the 773rd Mayor of Poole.
The election took place at the Poole Charter Trustee annual meeting, which was live streamed.
Cllr Tony Trent was elected as Sheriff and Cllr Marion Le Poidevin as Deputy Mayor.
The Mayor, who has chosen Winchelsea School, Kushti Bok, Hamworthy Hedgehog Rescue and Friends of Hamworthy Park as her chosen charities, said: “It is such an honour to be chosen by my fellow councillors to be Mayor. Poole is a fantastic place to live and it will be my privilege to represent the town, its residents, charities and businesses.”
The elections for Bournemouth Mayor, which will also be live streamed, are on Friday 28 May.
