Stewarts Garden Centres has appointed Jamie Rollings, formerly with the Blue Diamond Garden Centre group for 12 years. Jamie has relocated from the Channel Islands to take the role of Outdoor Plant Buyer Manager for the long established Dorset based horticultural business. In his teenage years he studied horticulture at the Sparsholt College near Winchester, before embarking on a varied career within horticultural retailing.
Terry Head, head of retail and marketing said that he is delighted that Jamie has accepted the new role: “Jamie has the experience to ensure that we buy stock competitively and the quality of plants that our customers have grown to expect from our centres.
The award winning Stewarts Garden Centres is a long established family owned business (since 1742) that still keeps its roots secured deep in horticulture. To boost the plants purchased by Jamie, 11% of the plants sold by the centres will be cultivated at their nursery based at Broomhill near Wimborne.
