New Wimborne retirement village to hold exclusive information day
A new retirement village coming soon to Wimborne has been brought to life through a series of never-before-seen CGI images.
The images of McCarthy Stone’s The Old Market Village, a new retirement village, will give retirees a glimpse of the attractive lifestyle on offer.
With work well underway at McCarthy Stone’s The Old Market Village, the UK’s leading developer of retirement communities is hosting an exclusive information event.
Taking place at the Allendale Centre on Hanham Road on Thursday 25 January, prospective homeowners will learn more about the wealth of highlights the new retirement village has to offer. This includes a range of communal facilities alongside the mix of bungalows and apartments which overlook a village green.
Due to go on sale in spring 2024, visitors can find out more about the properties at The Old Market Village at one of two informative presentations starting at 11am and 2pm. Each presentation will provide more details about key construction milestones, confirmed dates and overview of the next steps. This includes finding out more about help with moving and the flexible purchase options that will be available.
Located on Station Road, Old Market Village has been designed to offer independence, coupled with safe and secure retirement living for over 70s at Market House and over 65s at The Old Market Gardens.
There are two developments to choose from: Market House offers a mix of 68 one- and two-bedroom low-maintenance Retirement Living Plus apartments, while The Old Market Gardens features a range of 32 Retirement Living Plus bungalows each with two double bedrooms. Eight of these will be built as three-bedroom chalet style bungalows.
Nicki Beswarick, divisional marketing manager at McCarthy Stone, said: “Buying a new home is always a big decision, but never more so when considering downsizing and embracing a new lifestyle in an age-exclusive development. That’s why we want to ensure those considering this lifestyle have as much information, support – and choice – as possible.
“Our purpose-built, specialist homes allow people to live as independently as possible and make the most of their retirement in a warm, secure environment, where there’s always a friendly face when you want some company. We’re anticipating high demand, so we’d like to encourage anyone interested in learning more about The Old Market Village and the wealth of facilities and services on offer to pop along to our Information Event to hear how we can make a move work for them.”
Set close to the Dorset countryside, The Old Market Village will feature state-of-the-art facilities designed to offer a full and varied retirement, including a spacious communal lounge, multi-function room, on-site bistro, well-maintained landscape gardens, and a hotel-style guest suite for when loved ones come to stay overnight. A wellness suite, comprising a hair and beauty salon, can also be found at the development.
For those who may require a little extra support, a team will be on-hand day and night to provide personal care packages to suit individual needs. The latest safety and security features, including a 24-hour emergency call system and video door entry, provide additional reassurance.
The bungalows and apartments will be available to purchase outright, or part buy, part rent.
