The Museum of East Dorset in Wimborne has elected Professor John Humphreys as the new chairman of the Board of Trustees.

They’ve had quite a journey, but now the Wareham Bears have a ‘forever home’ at Wimborne Model Town.

Portland’s Castletown D-Day Centre, which shows the role Portland played in the allied invasion, will open for the summer on Wednesday 19 May.

The WW2: War Stories exhibition will be presented online on 13 May ahead of the re-opening of the Tank Museum on 17 May.

The exhibition is online, so log onto their website where you will find more than 90 paintings, several of which are local views.

Thanks to funding from Arts Council England, local libraries will be able to develop as cultural hubs for young people and adults.
