Poole Harbour Commissioners have issued a report following the oil spillage at the weekend when people were warned not to swim in the harbour.

A clean-up operation is being carried out in Pool Harbour following the leakage of around 200 barrels of reservoir fluid, including oil.

The Great Dorset Beach Clean is back for its 33rd year. It will run from 15–23 April, starting on the last weekend of the Easter break.

Trees and children will be growing tall and proud at Verwood Church of England First School and Nursery, after pupils planted hundreds of saplings.

Dorset Council’s Charging Ahead Programme will concentrate on getting charge points into Dorset’s more rural areas.

A climate centre at Beaulieu in the New Forest National Park has been officially opened by HRH The Countess of Wessex.

There were fresh faces and new recruits for the litter pick in West Moors on 4 March and one volunteer brought his children along to help.

Organised by Wimborne War on Waste, the recent litter pick collected cigarette butts, plastic cable ties and takeaway food containers.
