This summer Bournemouth is set to be shaken and stirred with the arrival of the award-winning, nationally acclaimed, Be At One cocktail brand.
Right in the heart of the town, the new Be At One bar will be just off Bournemouth Square, at the bottom of Richmond Hill and a few minutes from Bournemouth’s award-winning beaches.
Set to open in early August, the building is being refurbished at an estimated investment cost of £500,000 and will the bar chain’s 33rd UK site and second to hit the English coastline following on from Be At One Brighton which opened in 2013.
“We’re really excited to have secured this prominent site in the heart of Bournemouth, the area has long been on our target list and we are keen to be an active part of the Bournemouth and Dorset community,” says Be At One co-founder and director Steve Locke.
Famous for their extensive range of ever-changing delicious cocktails, Be At One includes a virtuous range with healthier ingredients, lower alcohol content and unrefined sugar to help keep the waistline slim. For example Svenska Detox is a combination of spinach, kale, pineapple, lime, agave syrup and Absolut Citron. Almond Mocha contains Kahlua, almond butter, raw chocolate powder, almond milks and palm sugar syrup – perfect if you are lactose intolerant or vegan.
Should you fancy something a little naughty, there’s a range of ice cream cocktails with your favourite chocolate brands and for the peanut butter nutters, Rhys’s Pieces contains a mix of peanut butter cups, bourbon and vanilla ice cream.
Quintessentially British summer cocktails include the refreshing Brit Spritz – Kamm & Sons elderflower cordial, Prosecco Santome and soda water, and the non-alcoholic English Country Garden with mint leaves, cucumber syrup, fresh lime juice and soda is summer in a glass.
Steve Locke says, “Everyone is welcome at Be At One and our aim is to deliver a great experience with high-quality cocktails, a warm, friendly service, in a fun atmosphere.”
Bournemouth Town Centre BID manager, Steve Hughes, said, “We are delighted that such a strong brand has decided to invest in the heart of Bournemouth. It will add to the mix of bars and restaurants at the bottom of Richmond Hill which has seen significant investment over the last year with new apartments and office space now complete.
“The town centre is really vibrant, footfall is up 13% year to date so I’m not surprised businesses such as Be at One wish to come here.”
