Detectives in Bournemouth are appealing for the help of the public after a distinctive medical prosthetic arm was recovered in the town.
Detective Constable Adam Woolman, of Bournemouth CID, said: “During the course of an investigation police recovered a number of items from a second hand shop, including this arm.
“I believe this item may have been in a vehicle, either on or around 25 November.
“It is a Nasco Life/form Advanced Injection Arm and is used for the training of taking blood samples from patients.
“Enquiries have already been made with local hospitals.
“It is an unusual article and we hope that someone recognises it and can help us to find the rightful owner.
“Please contact us as soon as possible if you have any information that assists with my investigation.”
On 28 November 2013, officers arrested two men on suspicion of burglary.
A 32-year-old Bournemouth man has been charged with burglary and is awaiting trial. A 25-year-old London man has been released on police bail pending further enquires.
