Pedestrian seriously injured in lorry collision
Two members of the public came to the aid of the pedestrian and police would like to talk to them and any other witnesses.
A pedestrian – a local man in his 70s – sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment following a collision with a blue Mercedes tipper lorry on Richmond Hill at around 10.30am on Monday 12 August.
The lorry driver did not sustain any injuries.
Police Constable Duncan Roberts, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances of the collision.
“I understand there were two pedestrians who came to the aid of the injured man after the incident and I would urge them to please come forward so I can find out what they saw.
“I am also keen to hear from any other witnesses who have not already spoken to police or anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
