The Pirates of Poole presented a cheque for £1,800 to Lewis-Manning Hospice in Poole, having raised the money during the Harry Paye Day celebrations on Poole Quay earlier this year.
The charity, which offers free specialist palliative nursing care to around 650 local people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, were thrilled with the donation.
Paul Tucker, Marketing and Communications Officer at Lewis-Manning said, “We are extremely grateful for this very generous donation which will help us ensure that local people are given access to the support they may need to help them cope with their illness and the changes it may bring.
“The Pirates of Poole have always been tremendous supporters of Lewis-Manning and we really appreciate their involvement in our events, as well as their tireless fundraising efforts.”
