Platinum success for Broadstone school
Broadstone First School has received the School Games Platinum Award, the highest accolade within the framework.

Pupils at Broadstone First School have proven once again that they are skilful at games; in fact, they have gone one better.
For four years, the school has achieved the Gold Award and now it has received the School Games Platinum Award.
It comes as the neighbouring middle school is set to introduce a new ‘sports stream’. Both schools are part of Castleman Academy Trust.
Sophie Burke, the acting headteacher who will also run the middle school’s ‘sports stream’, said: “We are incredibly proud to have been awarded the prestigious School Games Platinum Award.
“It is the highest accolade within England’s School Games Mark framework.
“This recognition honours our unwavering commitment to delivering an inclusive, dynamic, and competitive sporting environment for all our pupils.
“Achieving Platinum status requires four consecutive years of Gold-level achievement and reflects excellence across physical education, sports leadership, and both intra- and inter-school competitions, all underpinned by the core School Games values.
“We owe a heartfelt thanks to our amazing parent community for their continued support and encouragement; this milestone wouldn’t have been possible without them.”
