Political change across Dorset as election results announced
The UK General Election is over and Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour party has won a landslide majority. Who was elected in Dorset and BCP?

The UK General Election is over and Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour party has won a landslide majority in Parliament, but which candidates were elected as MPs in Dorset and the BCP conurbation?
Notably, Lib Dem’s Vikki Slade unseated the incumbent Michael Tomlinson, who had been MP for the area since 2015, and Labour’s Tom Hayes defeated Tobias Ellwood in Bournemouth East, which the Conservative candidate has represented since 2005.
Results for Poole had not been announced at time of writing due to a recount.
