Poole and Parkstone Productions to stage Elf The Musical
P&P will be back on a Poole stage in November to stage Elf The Musical, which is based on the 2003 film.
Poole and Parkstone Productions are amongst a number of local groups who can’t wait to get back to entertaining audiences.
Based on the 2003 film, P&P are returning to Lighthouse, Poole with Elf The Musical.
It tells the tale of Buddy, who, as a young orphan mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. There he is raised as an elf in Santa’s workshop, until his enormous size and poor toy-making ability make it very clear he doesn’t belong.
With Santa’s blessing, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the Naughty List, and his half-brother doesn’t even believe in Santa, Buddy enlists the help of new friends and pulls out all the stops to win over his new family and help the people of New York find their Christmas Spirit once more.
Filled with toe-tapping musical numbers, and plenty of festive frolics, Elf The Musical is guaranteed to get the whole family in the Christmas Spirit.
Performances run at the Lighthouse from 24 to 27 November with a Relaxed Performance at 11am and matinée at 3pm on Saturday 27 November. A Relaxed Performance is suitable for people with additional needs and their families to attend without worrying about how behaviours may affect other audience members to make sure that the whole family can enjoy the show together.
