Poole care home opens renovated nursing suite
A care home in Poole celebrated the opening of its renovated nursing suite with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
A care home in Poole held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its newly renovated nursing suite, which features upgrades that have been made with the residents’ comfort in mind.
The team and residents at Care UK’s The Potteries, on York Road in Broadstone, unveiled the refurbished area, named Aegean Suite. It will provide premium nursing care for older people in Poole and the surrounding area, featuring a separate lounge and dining area with an open-plan design, which allows the residents to share meals together, take part in activities or simply relax.
Zita Turner, home manager at The Potteries, said: “We have built a warm, welcoming community here at the home and we are delighted about this refurbishment, which will enable us to continue to provide the highest standards of personalised care.”
Resident Valerie Kempton had the honour of cutting the ribbon to officially declare the renovated nursing suite open.
She said: “The new look of the suite is marvellous and so welcoming, I love coming to the dining room and socialising with other residents, Zita has an eye for detail, and everything matches and looks beautiful.”
The Potteries offers full-time residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care.
