Police in Poole are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a man was assaulted near Tower Park.
The 22-year-old from Poole was assaulted by two men at 5pm on Friday, 3 May on a gravel path near to Sherborne Crescent which leads to Tesco.
The victim sustained minor injuries to his face and hand.
Detective Constable Mandy Brimicombe, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “This was an unprovoked attack that happened in broad daylight.
“There would have been people in the area at this time of day and I urge any witnesses to come forward.
“I am particularly keen to speak with a man who was seen on the bridge nearby talking on his phone at the time of the incident. He may have information that can help the police establish exactly what happened.
“All calls are treated in the strictest confidence.”
Both men are described as in their 30s and dark skinned. One has a thin strip of beard that followed his jaw line from ear to ear. He was wearing a dark green hooded top and dark coloured trousers possibly made of nylon. The other man was wearing a dark jumper and had a plaster cast half way up his right arm.
