Poole man jailed for vicious assault on woman
Daniel Bagwell is behind bars for committing a sustained assault on a woman for which she needed hospital treatment.

A Poole man who was found guilty of violent assault has been jailed for two years and three months.
Daniel Bagwell, 43, was jailed at Bournemouth Crown Court on Monday 10 March after admitting charges of controlling or coercive behaviour and inflicting grievous bodily harm.
On Friday 13 September 2024, Bagwell subjected a woman to a sustained assault at an address in Poole.
It was reported he punched her multiple times and threatened to stab her with a knife, before taking her mobile phone, house keys and car keys.
The victim fled the address having sustained injuries to her face, upper arms, chest, rib cage and thigh.
She required hospital treatment, which included surgery for a fractured eye socket.
Following enquiries, Bagwell was subsequently charged in relation to the incident.
Police Constable Jack Gibson, of Dorset Police, said: “Bagwell subjected the victim to a vicious attack which has had a significant lasting impact on both her mental and physical wellbeing.
“I want to praise her for the courage she has shown by supporting our investigation and ensuring this violent man has been put behind bars.
