A former Bournemouth schoolteacher who downloaded indecent images of children has been sentenced to ten months in prison.
Ryan Kusminoff, 32, from Poole, pleaded guilty to possessing indecent images of a child and possessing extreme pornographic images and was sentenced at Dorchester Crown Court on Friday 5 June 2015. He was told he would also be placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register for ten years.
Officers discovered 347 indecent images and 591 indecent videos on three of Kusminoff’s computers, following a thorough examination.
The computers were found to possess 10 category A, 14 category B and 323 category C indecent images, and 275 category A, 220 category B and 96 category C indecent movies. Category A is the most serious images and movies.
Detective Sergeant Paul Chessell, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Kusminoff was a man in a position of trust who downloaded a large collection of the sexual abuse of young children. Many of the movies were of the most serious category.
“This sentence should send a very strong warning to anyone involved in downloading indecent images of children that we will find you, arrest you and bring you to justice.”
