Cllr Vikki Slade, acting portfolio holder for Tourism, Leisure and Communities, said, “It is with regret that we have had to cancel the very popular fireworks display at Poole Quay on Friday 5 November. This annual event attracted thousands to the quay every year.”

The Littledown fireworks event, due to take place on Saturday 7 November in Bournemouth, will also not be going ahead as planned.

Event director, Mick Callaghan, said, “We will be back next year on Saturday 6 November for an even bigger and better event.”
