Detectives in Poole are appealing for information following a shed burglary – with CCTV of a man police would like to speak with being released.
The burglary happened at an address in Kinson Avenue in the Newtown area of the town at around 12.10am on Thursday 7 November 2013.
The offender forced access to a locked garden shed. Nothing was stolen.
It is believed the incident is linked to a series of other shed and garage burglaries in the Newtown, Oakdale and Ashley Road areas of Poole over recent months. In total £4,000 worth of bikes were stolen.
DC Andy Haworth, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “Following enquiries, I am now able to release video footage and images of a man I would like to speak with who I believe can help our investigation.
“I would urge the man pictured – and anyone who recognises him – to contact me in confidence.
“I would like to remind all residents to follow some simple crime prevention steps to avoid becoming a victim of crime.
“I would urge residents, particularly at this time of year, to make sure their garages and sheds are locked and valuable items are kept somewhere safe.”
The offender is described as around five feet eight inches tall, aged between 40 and 60 and of slim build.
