Prama superstore moves to new premises in Bournemouth
The superstore will move from Westover Retail Park to new premises at Knighton Heath Industrial Estate on 28 February.
The Prama charity superstore is relocating premises, opening on Saturday 28 February at Unit 6, Knighton Heath Industrial Estate, Ringwood Road. It will offer affordable and high-quality pre-loved goods, while directly supporting adults managing ill health, disability or age-related issues and their carers across Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and East Dorset.
Prama’s current superstore at Westover Retail Park will be closing its doors on 14 February with the whole of its operations being re-located to the new site. Just like the existing superstore, the new store will provide a wide range of items including clothing, homeware, furniture, books and more. It will be a one-stop destination for budget-friendly shopping, while at the same time reducing waste to landfill and raising much-needed funds to support people within the local community.
The new site will not just be a shop but will also accommodate a much larger donation drop-off area to replace the existing Prama donation drop currently located at 22 Benson Road, which will also be closing its doors in January.
Aaron Head, head of retail, said: “The planning for this new superstore has been a long time in the making and we are excited to now be able to announce the official opening date of Saturday 28 February at 10am. This new superstore will give us more opportunities to be able to grow and develop our retail operations and to enable us to further support people within the local community. The new site is big enough to accommodate not only the new shop but also our central retail and ecommerce operations all under one roof, making day-to-day operations more streamlined and cost effective for us as a charity.”
Superstore Manager Jodie Thrift said: “The new store will bring multiple volunteer opportunities which align with Prama’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. With more space for both donation drop-offs, furniture displays and with ample free parking, this new store will provide the perfect shopping experience.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our existing customers, and we look forward to welcoming you at our new store.”
The new store will be open 9am–5pm Monday to Saturday with donations being accepted until 3pm daily.
