Preparations in hand for Santa's parade in Ringwood
Santa should be arriving in style in Ringwood on Saturday 2 December where his elves will have been busy setting up his grotto which opens from 10am-3pm.
After a busy day, Santa will join the town parade at around 4pm in an old fashioned cart with shire horses. The parade will arrive in the Market Place in time for the Christmas lights switch-on at around 4.30pm.
Meanwhile between 11am and 3pm in the Furlong shopping centre Miller’s Ark and their animal experience will be set amongst twinkly fairy lights and hay bales. You will be able to meet miniature donkeys, kune kune pigs, sheep, lambs, geese, chicks, rabbits, guinea pigs and pygmy goats and visit the pygmy goats and kune kune pigs in the petting pen. Pre-booking is not required, so there may be queuing during the busy periods.
Why not get up close and festive with an #festivefarmselfie and share via https://www.instagram.com/furlongcentre/ The best one will win a £20 voucher to spend at Toys of Ringwood.
The Furlong’s #FestiveFarm event is FREE to attend. All the events held in The Furlong are funded by the generosity of the stores from The Furlong shopping centre.
Also happening on 2 December in the Market Place will be a fabulously festive Christmas Market (10am – 6pm) and your very own chance to visit Father Christmas in his grotto (there is a £3 charge for this and includes a gift).
