Prolific Bournemouth burglar jailed
Graham William Hill, who burgled three properties in the space of three days, has been jailed for six years and five months.
A man who was found guilty of three burglary offences over a three-day period will spend six years and five months in prison.
Graham William Hill, 44, of Bournemouth was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court on Wednesday 25 February 2026. The incidents took place between Thursday 17 July and Saturday 19 July 2025.
On one occasion, an address in Strouden Avenue was broken into while the occupants were upstairs asleep. A wallet, car keys, jewellery and other items were stolen. The car keys were subsequently used to steal the victim’s vehicle, and a man was captured on CCTV making a transaction with a stolen bank card while carrying a distinctive shoulder bag that was stolen in the burglary.
Another property was broken into during this time period in Cavendish Road, with various items stolen, including laptops, wallets and keys. This occurred while the victims were upstairs asleep.
In the third incident, entry was attempted to gain access to a property in the Wimborne Road area, but this was unsuccessful after the occupant was disturbed.
Detectives reviewed available CCTV from all the incidents and were able to identify Hill as the offender.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary and attempted burglary and one count of fraud by false representation.
Detective Constable Jo Regan, of the Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: “Graham Hill is a prolific burglar who repeatedly targeted victims in a short space of time with no regard for his actions.
“Everyone deserves to feel safe within their own home, and it is unacceptable that Hill entered the homes of people in our communities while they were sleeping.
“We have dedicated officers who will do all they can to investigate burglaries and ensure that offenders are brought before the courts to face justice.”
