Residents at Kings Park enjoyed the facilities of a pub including drinks, snooker and darts to celebrate Father’s Day.

Residents at a Ferndown care home were able to enjoy pub facilities to celebrate Father’s Day on 15 June.
Barchester Healthcare’s Kings Park opened a pop-up pub complete with a selection of favourite drinks including Guinness, cider and traditional bar snacks.
Residents and relatives competed in a snooker competition and darts match. One relative said: “The snooker table made Bert’s Day so thank you.”
Jenny May, general manager of the home, said: “We all had a wonderful day welcoming friends and family into the home. Occasions like Father’s Day are so important. It was fantastic to have such a lovely gathering with our residents and their loved ones all together.”
Bert said: “I’ve had a great time celebrating with my family; it has been so lovely to see them and spend some quality time together, especially on Father’s Day.”
