Pure Drama students recently celebrated when pupils of all ages wooed the judges at the Bournemouth Music Competitions Festival.
Local drama school Pure Drama recently carried off 18 awards at Bournemouth Music Competitions Festival.
Poppy Solway impressed the judges, and won the junior drama championship. Henry McFadden, aged seven, won the junior poetry section before unfortunately having to withdraw from other classes with chicken pox.
But the show ‘must go on’ and in total Pure Drama students were presented with 18 awards, plus the Donald Willoughby award for the most outstanding competitor, given to Beth Coates.
Lizzie Frances, the school principal said, “I am over the moon, they all worked so hard and for many of them this was their first competition, I am thrilled for them all.”
Toby George, who is 18 years old, has just earned a place at Guildford School of Acting and said, “I am not surprised at all at this success, Lizzie has been teaching me for three years now I owe her so much. She brings out the best in all of her pupils.”
