The Haskins Garden Centre at Ferndown has announced the dates for the two most popular events annually held for its charity of the year.
This year the Halloween evening to be held on Thursday 30 October and the Kids Christmas Evening on Thursday 4 December will see proceeds from ticket sales and donations go to the Dementia Society.
The Halloween evening will include themed games and activities and a children’s fancy dress competition. Judging will also be held for the pumpkin growing competition. The restaurant will be creating Halloween themed treats. Tickets are on sale for a minimum donation of a £1 per person.
The Kids Christmas Evening will allow visitors to meet Santa and his helpers (ticket only), enjoy live music, a reindeer hunt and Christmas story times and join in with face painting, the charity raffle and tasty food and drink tasting demos. Special seasonal meals will be served by the restaurant.
Matt Hill, General Manager of the centre, says that both of the annual events are very popular and tickets will be required for entry and these can be obtained at the centre. “People will have fun whilst fundraising. We are determined to beat previous year’s totals raised this year for charity,” said Matt.
