Queen’s Park Academy welcomed the Queen of Hearts on World Book Day – along with dozens of Cheshire Cats, Mad Hatters and white rabbits.
The school in East Way, Bournemouth, was transformed into Wonderland.
And pupils enjoyed two days of curriculum enrichment focusing on the well-loved tale, including a production of Alice in Wonderland by a theatre company.
Associate Principal Sarah Simmons said: “The children have totally immersed themselves in this wonderful book and with the help of their parents have really gone to town on their costumes.”
She continued: “We have used Alice in Wonderland as the basis for work in literacy, maths and art over the two days and I think everyone would agree that it has been a really fun way to celebrate World Book Day and our love of reading.”
